so i have a simple website to make for a client.
client wants flash. so... ok.
text needs to be editable.
portfolio needs to be client managed.i make website, it uses xml docs to populate the content.
i want to give client an interface to edit the xml docs so they can update their site. I don't want to have to explain to them how to edit a simple xml doc.
what's the simple solution?
i don't want 'flashblocks' or something complicated.
i don't even want the cms in flash.
I just want a simple html page that will load the xml doc and allow the client to edit the text, and perhaps add/remove portfolio pages (plus upload a photo or edit text for portfolio pages).
should be simple, right - but I'm lost in google searches....

Why not take an hour to show them how to manually upload images to a server and how to edit an xml file.

Use expressionengine or wordpress to generate the XML and handle image uploads.
