    So,

Me and my wife have this long standing tradition
of closing every November 26 with "The Extraordinarily-Engaging-Heartfe... Thanksgiving Movie." Something that started so innocently 9 years ago, has clearly grown beyond my cinematic prowess.

2009 is my year to pick a movie, and between Netflix, Hulu, & Itunes, it has grown incredibly taxing to find any movie that we both haven't already seen or rejected. But this year I am determined after last year being blown away with Woody Allen's "Crimes & Misdemeanors"

    to find the pefect gem.

    Please help!

It's a great film, but I wouldn't give "Crimes and Misdemeanors" that particular kind of classification. But that's just me.

My reco: "Synedoche, New York." Beautiful film written and directed by Charlie Kaufman (writer of Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, et al). Hard to grasp at times, but an amazing work and achingly achingly sad. But in that good way.

I don't know. But 1:14, gives me reasonable doubt.
