Any recommendations for software that records how much time you spend on defined projects?

The best time management on your Mac is the power button. Less time spent on QBN, more time in your sketchbook.
Or, Billings. billingsapp.com

pretty much any app that.. y'know.. lets you write down hours. pen and paper has always done the trick for me.

billings is good, I use that, it is much more though.
for just ztacking hours, "on the job" will do

I downloaded a trial version of one of these recommended here on QBN and it made you enter your info before you could download it.
I used it once or twice while I was freelancing and just concluded that pen and paper was just as good.
After the trial period ended I had a sales call everyday from the company asking me to purchase it. She literally left a message once a day for over a week. After she realized I was screening her calls she got very pushy saying "I'm not here to bother you we're here to help you". I finally had to pick up and say STOP CALLING! IM NOT GOING TO BUY YOUR CRAPPY TIME KEEPER APP!I forget what company it was but be careful.

I use harvest and it has an iphone app and dashboard widget as well. Seems like one of the easiest to get around in and get you time in.

I asked a week or so ago about an idea I had for Time management... got fired down but some people have posted a couple of links in here.
