hey, i got a audiophile 2496 (24/96) think it's from 2003. had it in my G4 867. pci slot.
now, i tried to put in my G5 dual 2.5. didn't seam to fit. says (pci-e)do i need a new card or is it suppose to fit?

I used the mobilePre for a year or so - it was OK, but it just pissed me off that one input jack is on the front, the others on the back... that always bothered me about it. (so, like, left on the front, right on the back if you're trying to get a stereo input).
The other prob i had with the thing was the latency - if you're doing live shit i definitely recommend getting something firewire based. I use the M-Audio Firewire Audiophile all the time and I've never had a problem in over 4 years now. Recommended!

now,
i already have a oxygen 8 (keyboard) which i use via USB
and
the mic is a samson c01 which is also USB power/function.
is getting one of these usb audio interface the right thing to do or should i better select something eles?

I donno man, I say just go for something simple like the firewire audiophile then.. Tho - if i could spend the cash, I would get something like this:
