alrighty, haven't done any real as for a while but i want to create a multi-view product 'advert' which will have 6 thumbnails at the base (the 6 views - all 4 sides + top and bottom) that will fade in the main image above. basically letting the user choose what view to look at. the 'views' will be mclips as they will contain animated text messages about that particular view.
any leads on a smart way to do this so that the selected image fades in over the last image and then dumps the last image so i don't end up simply stacking copies of images on top of others ad infinitum.
i'd love to do this with as3 as a learning exercise.

you think people will pay attention to your ad as they do a website?
- it's a product feature within the product page. the 'ad' ref was to help convey what i'm after.airey

A simple way to do this would be to already place the 6 main clips on the stage, then toggle visibility and alpha as needed when you click on the thumbnails below.
Wrote this out really quick: http://pastebin.com/f3a75733d
- Use one variable to keep track of what the active main clip is too.acrossthesea
