I've noticed a number of threads lately declaring that various Apple products are going terminal. For example, there seems to have been more a than a handful of threads from people who's MacBook Pro 13" have died lately.
I just wondered if we could keep a single record of what equipment we have experienced problems with, and what the problems were.
This is not a thread to write big long emotional accounts of the nightmare, its just a reference point to keep a tally of what fails, and when, and how.

Apple Mac Pro
Purchased with 2 internal 500gb drives, both Apple drives installed by Apple. One had a wiring terminal that meant it chewed all the data stored on it, which meant that the backups I made were also chewed beyond comprehension.Westgate Digital 1TB drive.
Purchased one at the time my MacPro fault developed, it failed, swapped for another, it has now failed this week. Hardly used.- Mac Pro purchased in January. Fault apparent by July.********
- WD 1tb Purchased in July, swapped in July, hardly used since, then died this week.********

NB: It doesn't have to be Mac stuff, just work related stuff. Could be a useful thread to check when thinking of buying stuff.
