How do you preview audio in aftereffects on a laptop? I think on a desktop you can use the enter key on the right side, but im on a laptop today. No access to a desktop.
Make sure you have the preview audio button depressed.
I think the full stop button works or alt full stop.
Okay I found a RAM preview button, and that lets you hear the audio.
or if you just want to blast the audio hit full stop it will play from where you are in the itmeline ir alt full stop and it will play from the beginning of the comp.
shortcut key should be , on the keyboard
You can also preview by scrubbing the timeline. Hold Cmnd and scrub with mouse and it will playback. Good for synching with events, animated mouths, etc.
it really helps working with audio in AE. another tip is the * key will drop markers as you preview audio. helps too.
hmmm what a wealth of knowledge.
i have a question> i know all the short cuts for moving frm back and forth and moving layers around on a normal keyboard with the pg up and down etc but is there a way to do it on me laptop? its pretty annoying.
On my Macbook I move fwrd/back one frame at a time by holding the Fn key and using up/arrows.
