Hi QBN,
SubmarineChannel just published the first series of 17 video interviews-slash/short docu's with top Dutch visionary designers (fashion, architecture, product, illustration, information, graphic designers, etc.) called 'Dutch profiles'. The interviews feature people like Jurgen Bey, MVRDV, NL Architects...
Hope you like the project.

Me either. I don't hope Marcel Wanders is amongst these though.

The G-Star film is interesting but sporadically self-satirical in places... justifying your brand by 'innovative use of denim clothing for a trumpet" is Chris Morris territory even if you do "leaves gaps in the garment so it doesn't affect the sound". It seems to run contrary to the notion put forward in the film that good design is not a visual thing but a functional thing. I think I'd be much happier seeing the amazing functional craftsmanship of a brass instrument in use than a "denim trumpet snood".
Bit of a comedy own goal IMHO.
- "Why can't you wear denim to a black tie event?"********
- You can, as long as its black, the weave is not the most prominent feature and its cut like a formal suit.********
- Otherwise you'll just look like the plumber. It is a functional workwear fabric, after all.********
