I want to shoot a timelapse from night till past sunrise with a powershot g10. Any tips? I wanted to use Av (aperture priority mode) but it will only give me a max of 1 second... and i need the exposure to be longer at night.
any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm kinda sure that you need an SLR for long exposure photos.
Unless your camera has some new technology I may not know about

i try to convince myself there is a distinct difference between time lapse and open shutter photography. time lapsesaid to be taking a photo in incremental stages, ie every 2 minutes. And, long exposure being what is great for lightning photography as you can hold the bulb open in the dark and close it once the lightning flashes, or use it to gather rich color and flowing water or light path tracing

- For the moment I think its the most affordable solution. Maybe one day a G10's CHDK...dasmeteor
