i knew this was you before i even clicked it. ;) can't wait to play it with a couple actual dj friends who i'm sure will hate it like every real guitar player who i got to play guitar hero

Billy Squier and Beck? LOL, actually sounds pretty cool. I'll try and stop in a Gamestop sometime to try it out, though I won't be buying...

the tracklist looks interesting, not nearly enough dance tracks though. it could really use more electro...
i'm counting on better ones in the PS store after its release

I want dj hype to make a track for this and be the final decision on where the "notes" will go. I'm sure he'd be the only one to pass the level

I dont care for the game, but the controller looks slick

I don't get the fanaticism behind these games. Buy a real turntable/Serato or guitar/mic?
- √ It's cheaper
√ Requires no knowledge
√ You can play it with friends
√ Its a gameMeeklo - for it to make sense, you need to stop comparing it with music. It's not, it's just video gameMeeklo
- it's also less of a commitment of time and money. not everyone who plays the game wants to be a dj or guitar playerscarabin
- exactly, it lets the user be in the "rol" for a couple of hours, that's all... let them dream they don't bother anyoneMeeklo
- Fair enough. I haven't played either, so maybe they are just fun.dMullins
- yeah man, I played rockband before, and I love playing the drums on that thing, and I dont even care for the beatlesMeeklo
- us old(er) folks have a bit of a learning curve w/ this stuff - but u make good sense meeklodnewbie
- √ It's cheaper

why buy a guitar and be laughed out by your friends for still not knowing how to play it when you could buy the game a couple guitars and have your friends over on the weekends for the same price and everyone has fun?
i'd say that's exactly why
- remix this statement to fit dj hero and you have that answer tooversion3
- very true..Meeklo
- "Real Guitar" skills can get you laid... "Guitar Hero" skills usually has the opposite effect...EightyDeuce
- very true but like meeklo said, it's not musicianship, it's a gameversion3
- it must suck to have everything you do be dictated by whether it will help you get laid or notscarabin
- Nope, doesn't suck at all ;)
EightyDeuce - having whether you get laid or not hinge on playing a game is pretty shaky. get a girlfriend?scarabin
- Wow, getting pretty defensive there scarabin. Did I hit a nerve?EightyDeuce
- no, i just think it's an odd argumentscarabin
- It was a sarcastic look at the whole peripheral vs. real instrument scenerio... I was playing into the fact that people are excited about playing cheap plastic instruments implying they are geeky and a turn off to women, that was the joke. Sorry you took it to heart.EightyDeuce
