Please take a look and let me know what you think.
This is for a class. It is supposed to be for a text book and represent a layout that would work for the whole book.
Parameters include:
The size of each page -- 7.5 in by 10.5 in,
All the content has to fit on one spread (i'd like more room, for sure)
I am supposed to include 6 images.. I kind of cheated on that one.http://www.evanmade.com/storage/…
Thanks!

didn't you post this already? some of your heads are not displaying.
- I don't see what you are talking about.. what do you mean?evanmade

Sorry about that. I suppose I should've put this in the same thread.

I made some changes

line up his photo with the headline.
And make that headline bigger.
- I will try the photo thing.. but I disagree with making the headline bigger.evanmade

how many pages will this book have? i think you would still need more margin from the bind..

here is my two cents-
–there is too much space between the headline and the paragraph
–headline is too small... there needs to be more of a difference in relationship to the body size text.
–If this is a textbook then it should be around 8.5x11.... it makes it easier to photo copy (making it easy to use is always a good idea)
– line photos up so they have a relationship to text
–line up headline text on page 1 to the the start of body copy on page 2

address your:
baseline grid, size/scale, color

I would bring the body copy pt size down. then maybe line up all those headers. I think the images would look better in b&w- and not bleeding.

how about a full bleed shot of Zapf?

its pretty thick in there - get rid of some photos - or scale them down.
There's just no room to breathe - Not to mention that the big blocks of type mixed with IMAGES of type are giving me a bit of type-overload...Try showing the images of type shot an angle, if possible, so that they dont read as Head-on type. You can acheive this in PS. its just too much as is...

is there are budget limit on page amount?
- identity0
I also think that you dont NEED that much copy - (or maybe you do if the assignment calls for it?) get rid of a column - give it some room, let and image or two occupy the space
- version30
needs more line height
incorporate the imagery into the text space

The bibliography should go at the end, not on every spread. This will leave you more room for information or more space to make it look good. There is too much going on here at the moment though.

baseline grid, yo!
