i don't think they could pull of Master of Puppets if their lives depended on it. That being said, i'd like to see them try

I never understood this band, other than being a band that Grateful Dead fans could obsess over after the Dead dried up. Same obsessive fans, same demographic. Pothead trust fund kids who don't understand or are afraid of jazz.
- me neither. Obviously these "jam bands" are influenced by jaz .Mimio

I saw them in Vegas 1998 (i think) covering the Velvet Underground for Halloween. Fun time but all of Vegas was full of stinky hippies.

- eh, that's disappointing. Of course, i'm not a fan of the Stones. This isnt' much of a stretch for Phishlocustsloth

That's an awesome album. I saw a lot of Phish shows when I was younger (and a Deadhead). They're super-talented. I'll never look at them the same way, though, since the bassist got caught alone with a young girl and a camera. Kind of how I feel about Eric Gill's typefaces.
As I've gotten older, classical and jazz music have moved to the fore of my musical tastes, followed by country (below the pop radar stuff) and various ethnic musical styles. Stuff like Phish, pop, and the bazillion styles/genres/groups of electronic/hip-hop is more enthralling when you're younger, I think.
- The whole thing with Mike was blown outta proportion. i think he was interested in photographylocustsloth
- and didn't use common senselocustsloth
- the older I get the more I loath country.Amicus

Apparently, the shows have been made into a film. In 3D no less.
"Phish 3D, filmed at Festival 8 – the band’s three-day festival which took place on October 30th, 31st and November 1st at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California – will be in theatres in 3D this April. The band performed 8 sets over the course of the weekend, including a special Acoustic Set on Sunday afternoon. Keeping the tradition of past Halloween shows, they donned a musical costume on Halloween night, covering The Rolling Stones’ album Exile On Main Street.
Complete ticketing and theatre information will be announced shortly. You can sign up to receive email updates at http://www.phish3dmovie.com ."
