What's the deal with the inspiration / rip stuff lately? I mean, for web, there is really only so much you can do, so were bound to all run into the same styling. I see this more in print, I feel like anyone who has been in print for more than 4 years knows that you really go full circle in trends / styles.
That's like me saying: http://www.wearebuild.com/projec…
That is a rip of this:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/yea…Just because it uses Helvetica. Shouldn't we all pay more attention to what the client wanted and how well they achieved the clients goals? Not just how the product was designed.
Just my thoughts.

Well Im not really sure what your on about really but the expample you've chosen is a poster advertising the launch of a poster (the build one) vs a poster by someone who went to see the film...
bitches leave!
- Do you think it was the same people who designed the second poster?r0b0c0p
- No but you said the first (build) was a rip of the second (flickr photo). Which is inaccurate.shitehawke
- But you can't prove that. That's the point - we all go full circle in styles. Build didn't invent Helvetica.r0b0c0p
- No, but one came before the film was released (build), one after the film was released (flickr).shitehawke
- Now, Im not doc brown, but understand a little about the space-time continuum.shitehawke
- Hahaha, Doc BROWN! Well it's just an example, there are 100's of typographic posters using Helvetica.r0b0c0p
- The point to make was, in some way we all eventually have the same idea another did.r0b0c0p
- 100's? Try millions....dMullins

it's a film about a typeface and they both used the typeface featured in the film for the poster. get over it.
- LOL, someone didn't read. It is quite ridiculous to call it a rip, that's the POINT!!! HAHA!r0b0c0p

Is this because I said http://p41studios.com/ ripped off http://remote-location.com/ ?- No, just something I have been seeing lately. You didn't say rip either, you said inspiration -- which is true.r0b0c0p
