problem with rss feed and others(Read timed out)

  i did some updates to my wp blog , and now it is impossible to sign up for a feed burner account , i always get the message: Read timed out same thing when i try to register my blog adress for google webmaster, i asked the server admin and he told me that there was no prob in the server (pings and port 80 request are working properly), what could i've done wrong when updating my blog?

  pd:with simple pie rss feed plugin i get the following error:
  cURL error 28: Operation timed out with 0 out of -1 bytes received

  check your post titkes (and URLs) if there are some weird characters, they can mess things up for FB
