  What is "push" and "pull" email? I hear those terms, but I don't really know what they mean. (Probably because I'm old, and out of it, but that's another long boring thread).

  I think it's a central service that "pushes or pulls" (receive/send) whenever you send a message. I think it's done on smartphone so that they're not continuously checking a receiving for messages otherwise the battery would drain in no time.
