New Site: Would you hit it?

Please hit this site and let me know if you catch any bugs. I designed and built this in four days and I'm a little haywire, so I won't be surprised if there are bugs. This hasn't been optimized for IE6 at all, so the layout is probably completely fucked there. That's my last priority as it makes up for less than 6% of our visitors. Just wanna make sure the rest of the world can use it.
Also, if you do find errors let me know what setup you're using.
Thank you!

Looks fabulous. Structurally and functionally sound. Easy on the eyes. I like 'em like that ;)

Awesome. Thank you!

I really like the concept and the design.
It seems very text-heavy. I wouldn't read all of that (not sure if that's your responsibility though...)
Also, the bottom grid doesn't match the top grid. It's a bit awkward on the left side (top grid), where it says "History Can Only Teach So Much" and the "What We Do" blurb. They don't match each other.
That being said, I can see that it follows some kind of grid.

It's an 8-column grid and it matches up. I just pulled the quote left one column to make it jump out, but technically it does line up.

I'm going to be brutally honest:
• I love the site, grid, design, navigation.
• I'm pissed off because you mislead me with the "Would you hit it?" ... I thought I was getting ready to click on some inappropriate hotness.

Refinement on above points and it's lovely... One of the more original layouts I've seen lately with the pop down information...

I like the simplicity of it. The logo is a little ugly but I'm guessing that's beyond your control.
Have you considered enabling the back button since it's all on one page? There are some pretty simple JQuery plugins that will let you do this.

Overall, looks great. Something refreshing for an html grid based site.
I do prefer how it looks with the white on the bottom vs. all teal. I also don't like how you have 3 cols at the top, then 2 below the white bar (nit picking though).
Works here.

Notice the baseline alignment in there, too. :D

Site looks really nice and I like all the javascript action going on.
My only comment is that the way it's built (hiding most of the content and showing it based on what the user clicks) is not best for seo. It can be against Google policy for content to be "hidden" on the page and it will often not index this content.
- I'm actually working on that. These hidden pages are soon to be external pages pulled in that can stand on their own (like if JS is turned off you'll just go to the full version of the page). That way there will also be an actual sitemap instead of just one page.autonoma
- Good. AJAX will solve. Right now google would index 404 errors. Love site though.MrNibs

Thanks everyone. Good feedback.
The logo is beyond my control, although I actually like it just fine. As far as the copy goes, I did what I could to get it trimmed down as much as possible. My hope is now that they see it in place they may trim the fat a bit more. We'll see.

@idww - I'm currently working on pulling these hidden sections out into their own pages that get loaded. This way if JS is turned off the user will be redirected to these pages, and I'll have an actual sitemap instead of one page.

Good to hear your adding graceful degradation. The site looks really sharp for 4 days, good work.
Show your love for $_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH... to serve the same url to both direct and ajax request.

Thanks a million, idww. Can you go into more detail with that recommendation, or point me in the right direction? My interest is piqued...

There isn't enough negative space. Makes me feel claustrophobic.

Looks great. Safari 4.0.3 Mac, Firefox 3.5.3 Mac and IE7 windows. IE6 is indeed a little jacked, mostly with the pngs and some divs dropping to levels below, but it's sorta readable and usable. I love the progressive enhancement with the border-radius for the browsers that support it, and none for those that don't. So clean.

Very nice indeed! This is the way these type of site should be built. Good job mate!

Thank you very much!
