Obvious= Clear | Evident | Self-explanatory.
But why do people keep saying "obviously" in their sentence when in fact it is not.
It can only be obvious when you know the situation.
I dont think that you can say "I got up and obvioulsy there was no milk, so I went to the nearest store"
What is obvious in general is something which is followed by a few people => "As a designer, Ilike to design things obviously" (it is a **Evident**).
Isnt it?

Upon opening the fridge and discovering an empty bottle, it was indeed obvious that there was no milk.

It may be obvious to them, but not to you... or this may be a gentle put down or hazing ritual.....

"obviously, there was no milk" is fairly typical morning bitterness.
All's fine, nothing to see here, move along.

Listen to people around you and you will notice that "obvious" has become a gap filler word a bit like "double-Check" rather than "control or verify"....it must be an Urban Trend like the fixed gear bike LOL
