Sure can.
Would it be wrong to start a discussion about how crap it is that electronic musicians feel the need to add 'real' instruments to their acts?
Thought so.
- He's always added "real" bass guitar to his work, going all the way back to day one. He was a bass player before he ever released an album under the name Squarepusher.keithrondinelli

At least the guy is learning and trying something new and putting himself out there.
- I think these 'at least' points are moot when you're successful and established.MrT

In some cases I think that's true, but his whole approach to recording is built around playing bass, even if he's just using it as a controller for electronic sounds. I just thought this video was kinda funny, the gap between the kind of music it is and one guy standing up there playing guitar.

Its sounds like some old computer game melody.
it's quite uncool sounding.
he may have talent and a decent attire, but.... hmm.... he could do with some friends maybe?

Hate squarepusher, I bought so many of his albums back in the day because they had one good track on them and I expected the rest to be similar or good but they were just jazz wanks half the time.

I went to the Warp 20th Anniversary party in Sheffield on Saturday night. Squarepusher played after Nightmares on Wax and before Clark and Andy Weatherall.
He was amazing. Surely a creative musician should always be pushing themselves to do different things, otherwise you become staid and vapid. Bjork for example has always tried different techniques and it's not always worked but it is interesting to follow her to see where she goes. If people wanna take the easy route and follow boring bands and hear them do the same shit for 5 albums, like Oasis, then so be it. I just want something a bit more interesting and Squarepusher pushes the boundaries of technicalities and live presentation.- LOL********
