Living in Stockholm

It looks like I'm moving to Stockholm and was wondering if any of you Svenske on here could give me some info on living costs / expenses / apt rentals etc. I have been doing quite a bit of research but I'm hoping that maybe some of you that have a first hand experience in the matter could give me some insight. I will be working downtown and would like to live somewhere nearby. Are there any places I should avoid living? According to various sites, it looks like a standard monthly cost of living is around 5000 SEK. Is this about right or do you find yourself spending more?
Sorry if it seems like a lot of questions :P
Any info is greatly appreciated. And yes I searched QBN for this exact topic before I posted ;)
Takk skal du ha!

Thanks so far, that 5000 SEK number was just pulled from some site so I'm not sure how reliable it really is, hence the reason I got on here and asked questions...

Shit I blew through 5000 SEK in a couple days. Their money varies in size, makes it hard to deal with. Pretty though. I spoke to a few locals while I was there. They said it is very hard to get an apartment, there is a waiting list or something.

there isn't really any "bad" areas. there is a few areas where there ain't much swedish living. other then that. don't mean it's bad.
the closer to the city, there more it cost. but a few places around or outside are also expensive.

Heard you have to be prepared to change your last name to something good and Swedish because they're a bunch of racists otherwise. Might be fine inside the creative industry though.
- somewhat true.akrokdesign
