Hi All
I have been just been looking at my stats for my site and realised that i seem to have generated alot of hits from some hosting company but when i go to see their site, theres nothin to do it and def no way of linking to my site with it.
Then when i go to see my clients stats, i see the same thing happen. They seem to only be looking at each site on 1 day and but hitting it like 10+ times.
Any ideas who or whati should do ?
Should i i treat this as a malicious attack or is it just harmless linking to me?

That is weird. I am not the best expert on this, but it should tell you what page the traffic is coming from if you are using something like Google Analytics right?

cos they are now linking to my clients which i dnt understand cos there is no way they could find this out and i dont host their sites.

There is such a thing as referrer spam that hosting and tech companies will send out bots so it looks like a legit referrer. You end up checking it out and then end up on their site. I guess its a game of odds, if they get enough people to the site they will make some sales from using an automated scheme that takes little work on their part.

bots.. or you may be accidently part of a click-fraud code error....

if i am part of a click fraud error - how would this of happened?
plus is this damaging my/clients online rep in anyway ?

it is more than likely a bot as said above. There is little you can do if it's click fraud after it has happened but you should see in advertising stats if it's that.
Just block the IP if concerns you.
