i wish. i've been pushing to attend anything...even a rant from our local street vendor would suffice. It sucks when you constantly get told - "hey that's looks good, but I'm not sure if it's really something we can do right now." - for the past 4 years. I gave up even thinking about going to an event of any kind.
send a synopsis when you get back. or a tshirt.

haha yea - aside from the 2008 OFFF which happened here in NYC I haven't been to any conferences lately, felt that this had a solid line up & figured it was was worth a shot... Helvetica T Shirts all around

I question the value of such an event... none of the speakers have done anything revolutionary for web design. If anything, they're responsible for all this movement of bland, cliche web 2.0 clone sites that (at best) will get a nod on some Smashing Magazine countdown list
- Alternative idea: get a job. Get PAID to learn, from first hand experience!deadfinch

- I'm not sure the speakers are quite that bad, but benefit v. cost is most probably debatable.lukus_W

I'd say the value of what these kinds of people (and I know I'm painting with a broad brush here, but whatever) bring to the table is more in terms of improving best practices of front end development than in pushing any particular style. If you are only looking at it in terms of surface style then you are missing the point.
