We won, this news went under my radar but I'm so glad justice is served, they keep dumping toxing wastes around our coast, overfishing our waters and when people defend their livehood, we aren't a dump.
Good job lawyers :)

People have been fighting over land, food, and resources since the beginning of time. Nothing much special about America in this regard.
Name me a place and time in the world where the most powerful nations didn't try to conquer their neighbors. Go back far enough and the Middle East was conquering Europe and occupying their land. The only difference now that we're "civilized" is that the PR has gotten better.

the same ghana the US got involved into 40 years ago and that is only now coming out of the military junta?? http://www.historycommons.org/co…
you see before colons came ghana, Ivory coast, liberia were basically the same "country" known as the gold coast, we have the same tribes and the dialect are similar.
maybe I should have pointed out that half of my familly is from ghana....Anyways I'm happy to answer your future questions

10 minutes ago i couldn't even locate this country? really, well considering that I have relatives who just got back from spending 2 years in Ghana, your neighbor if i have my knowledge of the world straight. (but, hey I'm American, I must not know anything about the world right?)
and i know the war is largely over, but the United nations still has forces there no? I know they did as of april this year...Blanket statements about Americans do not show much care or intelligence either. The thing about the states is, you can not pin us down, we are not any one thing. We have a central government controlled by the power elite, whom are largly anglo white Christians, (other than obama) but the people are all immigrants from every single part of the world (including the ivory coast). Come visit, you might like it.
Peace.

ahahah
10 minutes ago, you couldn't even locate my country and now you know everything,
I lost some familly members during this war and when I went there, I got to see it for myself,If you would have search 10 more minutes, you would have learned that the peace treaty was signed two years ago and the so called rebel force are now happily sitting in the democratic government.
both your comments where pre ashed repeats from what you heard on the news, nothing you said actually showed a hint of actual care or intelligence.
I'm pretty sure you believe the whole of africa is a war torn continent with people running around with machetes but I'll tell you that those so called 3rd world country citizen are working the ass off to come out of this shit while slowly you see your hopes fade away...

if i was from the ivory coast, i would probably try to get to Italy or Canada too.

He is angry because we Americans have it figured out.
Americans take their aggression out on other countries. Ivorians take their aggression out on them selves. So much so that the united nations has to patrol the country to keep you folks from eating each other because of a civil war that was basically based on xenophobia.
if you want to join an anti war movement, how about being against this war.
