A friend of mine is applying for a 'design and production co-ordinator' position. The job description asks for a working knowledge of Indesign, PS and AI. She currently has none but believes the role is a management position not design, are there any good overview websites or books she could take a look at? The interview is on Friday!

well if it's a overview, don't she just has to know what those programs can do or does.

she won't get the job so it doesn't matter. if she has no idea about the software then she'll be fucking useless. not a go at her but without any idea how could she be a decent part of an operation that needs to address tasks with these in mind.
- we don't need more 'let's just photoshop' it people is what i'm getting at.airey

If they want a working knowledge, then they'll probably want someone who can do some real work when they are busy.
