What did you think of Steve Peat's victory yesterday then!? Pretty damn amazing if you ask me. Well deserved!!!!

Steve is nuts. Amazing rider and by all accounts a really nice guy.
I love my mountain biking. Was out in Morzine last month, had a great time.

Ah good to know there's a DHer on QBN. Yeah I was over at Alpe D'Huez Just over a month ago. Amazing riding out there though I needed to spend a bit of money fixing the bike when I got back. Those baby sized rocks seemed to disagree with my forks somewhat.. Ha!

amazing ride!
I live quite close to Wharncliffe woods, where he trains sometimes if he's back in the UK. I'm probs more aggressive xc than a dher myself though.

Last half an hour of that video is great, so much emotion. Rob Warner's voice got rather annoying on the commentary though.
I ride a lot at Aston Hill (www.rideastonhill.co.uk) and Chicksands (www.chicksandsbikepark.co.uk).

Ahh the memories! I used to race DH a few years ago. Aston Hill is great fun, I did a few races there. Living in London now where fixie bikes are more the done thing :(

Ha ha, know what you mean. I live in St.Albans and commute into London every day. Going from a Santacruz Nomad to a Dahon fold-up bike is interesting.

I kinda liked Warners excited commentary but I can see why it annoys some. I just remember when him and JMC were the poster boys of the DH scene so kinda forgive him for being a little in your face.
I've also gone down the more xc route these days, though still hit up DH on my Trek Remedy. In fact I wrapped myself around a tree only yesterday!
I've only ridden aston hill once and that was in the wet. That chalk is like ice when wet ey!?!
- Aston + rain = stay at home.imadesigner
- yeah I learnt that the hard way.. never again! I spent more time going sideways or backwards than anything else. Though not on my ares which is the main thingShaneHolley

@imadesigner I had a friend who lived in St.Albans, we rode at Woburn Sands a couple of times, have you been there?
Haha Aston Hill in the wet.. good luck! Death trap. I remember riding the black run on my hardtail in the dry, that was interesting...

Ah Woburn, the place where I came up short on a double and snapped my collar bone. That place is HUGE these days - maaaasive doubles that've been built by a growing number of pro riders who train down there. Still worth a look though, there's still some stuff that can be rolled.

That video was pretty cool - commentators were annoying though!
Someone answer me this: those guys are all just riding regular pedals, right? No clipless pedals on something like that, right?

I'm too chicken-shit/hesitant to be a good MTBer. I miss my bike, locked away back home.
