so I am trying to set something up for my band so I can play a backing track/sample live while we play over it, but I have the click track in my headphones (i play drums). I was told I need to do something with right and left channels while exporting, but this was from a guy using protools. anyone using logic here? ideally i'd like to have it run through this sample pad trigger thing i have and not through an ipod, but an ipod would be ok to. I was trying to run it through my small mixer to split the sound between my phones and the PA, but I don't know. any audio guys here?

well if you're trying to do it with just a stereo file, you'll need to pan the backing track hard left and the click hard right and then bounce it.

i tried panning, and i think there is bleed happening there, i can't be sure though. I have this little behringer 4-channel mixer that i am sending the sample to from my roland s-pds, and it seems to still play everything on both sides. I am not sure how to set up the input and output on that. do I need two cables from the R and L coming from the s-pds to the mixer and two outputs? I am not sure if its something like that or the file itself. it seems to be working when i listen to playback on my computer, I don't know if the roland is messing it up. blaaahhh

ugh mostly its just sending everything through. lame old hardware. rolad needs something a bit less limited that the s-pds methinks
