Estate agents would be good have you seen how many fucking lights Foxtons leave on at night?!!! Obviously not really do-able though unless we all go and buy a house or two.

^ That's really nice idea, but yeah, it would be a bit more long term - as in trying to convince a group of people to give preference to a certain letting agent or agency based on their business values.

I am liking the estate agent idea but it would work more as dynamic pledge where you could rate the values of real estate agents then pledge to only go with the top rated one by a mass of people. Carrotmob is not the right model for this unfortunately..... how about a clothing store, food outlet, shoe store, utility provider? Any thoughts / ideas??

I'd like to get rid of all the people who stand in your way in streets trying to give you papers or get you sign up to their charities - can we carrot mob whizzkids, london paper, save the children etc etc see if they like it

clothes, fashion all want to be green and would more likely be upfor it. I wouldn't rule out the bigger stores they love PR and would prob be keen. How far they'd go I dunno. But their PR machine would get it up and running faster than us then once its known.......I've got phone numbers of a couple and maybe contact.
Not always here so please mail me if I can help/ or you want a me to get a couple of numbers

It's more about supporting those that are willing to change for the better rather than boycotting those that just generally fuck you off... for example supporting a shop that agrees to drastically improve their energy efficiency, supply chain or other impact in return for your purchasing support

having given this some thought whilst drinking last night, I came to the conclusion that a restaurant could be a good target - something like if they (the restaurant) made a pledge to use fairtrade/local ingredients, sustainable fish, small livestock providers ... that sort of thing.
just a thought

^^^ great idea but how many people could realistically bombard the restaurant at once for a sit down meal? The turn around would be pretty slow I imagine?
- yeah, I agree there is a problem with the logistics. It would have to be staggered or, um, somethingflashbender
