Emptying the Trash...
Iam currently emptying the trash of my computer, ''Secure empty trash" to be more precise. 35,000 files to delete.... It's been deleting since almost 12 hours now and it still got 22,000 files to delete.
So EMPTY YOU TRASH NOW! Don't wait.

Dang that's alot of files. Yeah it would go alot faster if you didn't use secure delete, but I guess that's the price you pay for being a secret agent :)

secure will deleted and rewrite (zeroing) the blocks that the data was on, making sure that no data could be recovered.

because I had a lot of files that could'nt been deleted (protected or something) and by securely emptying the trash, it destroy them.

is there a way to empty the trash to bypass those protected files?
like holding Shift key?

i usually delete any material in a bath with nitric acid.. takes a while with large chunks but does the job amazingly well..

i find the best method is to delete the files, wrap the computer in tinfoil, embed in a 5x5m fast setting plastic block (specifically moulded), place it on a specially made slingshot and launch it into the sun. i pay nasa a small fee to make sure it gets there untouched. granted i go through a lot of computers but those hackers wont ever get my old clients emails and logos so it's obviously worthwhile.
