any way to turn off the fact that opening a new document puts it in a tab of the open window. I always have to end up dragging it out anyway so I can see all my open docs at the same time.
It's enough to drive me batshit crazy.
There must be a simple preference somewhere I'm not seeing.

preferences. you can change that in there.

unclick open documents in tabs in preferences.

Worst UI choice ever, whoever came up with it needs a punch in the cock.
Preferences-interface:
uncheck "open documents in tabs"
uncheck "eneable floating document window docking"window menu>application frame
turn that off if photoshop is one big stupid floating window on your desktop.Preferences-general:
uncheck "enable flick panning" because thats fucking stupid too and barely worksThen finally you have a product that isn't a step backwards from CS3

I don't mind the feature in InDesign so much, but in Photoshop it gets an inch up my left nostril.
