Hey I found this third party flash add-on program called Flash Eff. Usually I think they're all pretty hokey but this seems legit. I saw the preview sample movie on their home page and it's pretty kick ass...what are your impressions. Any other good add-ons you know of?

It's cool but definitely not worth $99. A lot of those things you can live without. I don't see it making your workflow 'that' more productive.

boil in the bag crap used by lazy developers that'll just make your site run fucking slow.

Actually, a really well built flash component that is fairly straight forward to use for the mid-level Flash developer and or designer.

i was the same until i purchased
to be honest - the main ball ache i came across was the fact that there was only so many effects i could put into 1 files before it crashes.i was doing a presentation as well so this wasnt as good as they made out. def not worth $99

It's not bad but there are only like one or two effects in there you will really want to use.
Also, watch out because I tried to use it to handle text animations in a pretty long presentation once, and my file would go buggy after a while if too many effects were used. They may have fixed that in this new version.
FYI, Flashloaded makes a similar plugin that handles animation but is more customizable.

anything similar that is free, or a lot cheaper that $100?

Oh wait, actually that won't work cause they make you log in each time - lol. Annoying copy protection.
These kind of things are pretty robust plugins, so I wouldn't expect it to be free.

I dont think its worth the money...and all the source code is obfuscated so theres no modifying shit. I contacted them about getting source (after i had already purchased it) and they said ok...but for an additional exorbitant fee ( i dont remember exactly how much...i just remember spitting coffee on my monitor)
