1974 NY Subway map

I've got an original one of these. It's pristine and I'd like to frame it.
I took it along to a frame shop and they said no way, get it photographed and keep the original in a safe, dark place.
Kind of defeats the object, but I wonder what you lot think...?

Depends if you want to frame the original or not. If that's the only one you have, then scanning and stiching might be a better way. Photographing is good too.

use archival materials and you'll be fine.

uhhhh... acid free and no direct sunlight and it should be fine.

People frame work with much more value than that. As stated above, use archival UV materials, display out of direct sunlight and you'll be fine.

i'd throw it out and get a more recent one. you'll never find the L with that.

you have an extra one? I've been looking to get one myself...I know the MTA sells a replica, but I'm not sure how good the quality of it is.

The train naming is different...for example there was a GG train that would run express under Bergen St station and I think the N that goes to Astoria was the RR...something like that.
