Does someone know how to achieve this little "drawing look" on the photos on Photoshop?

It's got a lot more to do with lighting than you may think. Of course, there's a lot of PS work, DaveHill has mentioned spending days and days just on one piece. Anyway, google 'dave hill' effect, there is a whole community trying to achieve this look. Be aware, a lot of people hate this look.
- Lighting My ass! It's all post production! Look at the simple lighting setup he's using on the adventure girl behind the scene clip.elDoctor

what was your process? duplicating channels and raising the black point in levels?
looks like a high pass or serious unsharp mask

dave hills photos - although i appreciate the work that goes into the, - i find that they're so devoid of any soul - its like looking at the world through the eyes of a typical LA airhead network exec :P
