From reading many posts and investigating a little I realized that there's a difference between these 2, could you guys help me a little? it's a little confusing.
Thanks.

Logotype has TYPE.
Logo > just the graphic symbol.

logo: symbol, icon, sign
logotype: arranged typeface

Wordmark?
The Nike example is perfect I guess, what about the BQN one? it has the type inside that shape, is that a logotype?

I think you're confused;
Logo is an abbreviation of Logotype, think SWOOSH.
Wordmark is what is sounds like, think NIKE.- nodoesnotexist
- the swoosh is not a logotypebrandelec
- nosandrinho
- The swoosh may nowadays be referred to as an icon. But that's a more recent delineation.********

wordmark is when it's only type- no logo to accompany it.

its a good way to sell something to the client. throw as many words into a proposal as possible so they think they are getting more..."custom wordmark, logotype, logo, and icon all for the low price of...."
- haha, and each item delivered as an .eps .ai .psd .gif .tiff .pdf etcjimbojones
- all the extras make it a good deal.dewilde
