What's the best setup if you have a full time contract and want to do some freelance on the side (in the UK)?
I mean if you want to do the odd job on a weekend for example. Is it better to set up a limited company or register as self-employed???

self employed, save more money unless you are making 50k+

Cannot be arsed to do anything related with accounts, but could probably pay an accountant to do it.
Don't think I will be making over 50K+... just yet!

I'd definitely pay an accountant once a year to sort stuff out too, almost always paid for themselves by getting tax back, in my experience.
Even if it costs you a little, it's one less big headache...
- u save more money than you think because accountants know all the tricks :)WeLoveNoise

Yeah - totally agree about the accountant. Life is too short.
I'd be watching the wheels go round than sitting at home doing accounts on a Sunday afternoon!
