PS CS3 > slow ass CS4

Hey peoples,
Anyone else having issues with Photoshop CS4 opening files extreeemely slowly!?
CS3 opens a 90mb PSD in about 5 seconds..
CS4 opens the same file in about 2 minutes...!?

when I started here I was on a 30 day trial for cs4, i specifically requested a downgrade to cs3 as i found cs4 buggy and as you say a little slow.

its unbelievable slow, liek rediculous.
I have a new unibody MBP with 4 gigs ram.
Im going back to CS3, first realised the Fireworks CS4 was shit and buggy, now this with Photoshop, what the hell is going on Adobe jebus!

i am sure CS4 needs some major updates.

yup screw this back to CS3, why oh why did I delete CS3 without testing CS4, lesson learned.
Surely others must be noticing this as well tho ? :/

On a MBP with 2GB of RAM with CS4, just opened a 200MB file with not a lot of bother, probably 15-20secs

CS4 is lame. the CTRL-U feature is absolute shit on this version.

I will say one thing for Photoshop CS4... it does open a hell of a lot faster.
That and the tool hold to use shortcuts/brush resize shortcut are the only reasons worth getting it, pretty much everything else is a huge fucking negative- I hate the way artwork windows are displayed, copy/paste is fucking annoying with it.dyspl

Oh and Fireworks CS4 out of the box is genuinely worthless, you need to update it or your text will shift all over the fucking shop
- yup, flagged FW CS4 altogehter seems there's bit of an uproar about how shit it is on the webblackspade
