I use indexhibit for my shop site. I'm concious the menus on the left are getting longer and more text therefore.
I'm wondering whether to use a thumbnail for each menu item instead of text, to make the site more visual. I don't really want to from a formal point of view but I think maybe it'd help with general users. What do you think?

I wouldnt use thumbs, i guess they would have to be small and for me personally i decide wether to look at a project based on the name... wether it be a client name or a project name.
Like Pylon said, jquery would be the way to go, but i have no idea how you would set that up inside indexhibit

how about using css to render it visually more accessible to whom you call general users?
Idk about thumbs...could be interesting depends on how big you can go, 100x100px, 80x80px? I would layout it in ps to c and decide...

I might change to wordpress so I can add tags. At least then the menu can be viewed in several ways, and a search option can be used.

I want it to look and work the same as the existing site but with extra menus 'tags / publishers / authors'. At the moment they are listed newest first which is fine but as the list grows it's not great.
