Go to your System Preferences and select the "International" pane. Select the "Input Menu" tab, scroll down the list, and put a checkmark in front of "Keyboard Viewer". Before you close the preference pane, put a checkmark in the "Show Input Menu in Menu Bar" box. Now the Keyboard Viewer will always be available in the menu bar near your time display.
BTW, the trademark symbol (™) is generated by simultaneously pressing the "alt" (sometimes labeled "option") and "2" keys. Alt+R generates (®) and alt+G yields (©).
- I know about keyboard viewer, I wanted a shortcut. I have a German keyboard so alt-shift-d makes ™. ™™™™™™™™™™™™™™™™™™™™jimbojones
