So one of our biggest clients is also one of our worst clients. They are consistently unorganized, frequently delay deadlines and make snap decisions at the last second, often resulting in complete reworking and/or scrapping of hefty amounts of work.

Granted we always charge for the change orders and last minute rush work I have begun to notice that doing work for this client is really wearing on the attitude and quality of the work our studio is doing.

Has anyone dealt with a client like this before, and if so, what did you do?

    ---
FYI after two weeks of redesigning product packaging after the LAST time they wanted to completely change it they have again made a last minute call to change the packaging yet again. Uhg.

    Welcome to the real world?

If they pay for additional changes and rush charges, take the money and smile. If you're that bothered with it, increase the add-on charges to send a message to them.

    • Yeah, I just assumed that a company that profits more than a few million annually would have their shit togetherd_rek
    • I've found the opposite it true - the more money a company has, the more capricious it is.flashbender

you're right sometimes it's just not worth it.
dumping your client has to be the most satisfying feeling in the world (after blow jobs). however it's something most of us never have the balls, finances or sense to do.

we've only done it once, only a small client though, they went mental, happy days!
