That's a job for vector magic, if I ever saw one..
..seems a little bit too much effort - vectorising it up by hand for a mere doubling in size. I'll not tell you to suck eggs - I'm sure you have your reasons for not doing this in PS with a series of level tweaks.

i know i could vector magic it, and i've tried many times, it really doesnt give me the clear lines i want, i'm really anal about it, and it doesnt take me as long as you'd think
