this "MouseEvent" bit of code works,
It loads my external swf, and when I click it, it plays. (actions to play loaded .swf are in the loaded .swf.)
this "ENTER_FRAME" bit of code does not work,
It loads the same .swf, but when I click it, it does not play. (actions to play the loaded .swf are in the loaded .swf.)
any ideas? what am I missing here? Any help would be much appreciated.

btw, both external .swfs are the exact file, just duplicated and re-named.

there are event listeners in the loaded swf for the click evt?
- moldero0
no event listeners in the loaded .swf.
on clicking a button "MouseEvent" in the main .swf, the external .swf plays,
but when it is called by "ENTER_FRAME" the external .swf loads but does not play.
- maximillion_0
give that a try

If there is no mouse event registered, clicking would be ineffective. Also, I'm not sure EnterFrame is the best way to play a movie.

Thanks Maximillion, the swf now loads in the "swf" child, but it still does not play when clicked.

"there are event listeners in the loaded swf for the click evt? "
DUH, I said no, but yes there is. Sorry, I think I've fried my brains on this. sorry for the confusion.

mikotondria3, Im using "ENTER_FRAME" because I need this external .swf to load (while stopped on first frame) when a certain frame is reached, rather than when a button is clicked on the main .swf.
Then after the external .swf is loaded, the user plays the external .swf by clicking a button in the external .swf

then can you not just put the code MovieClip(root).content_mc.bioMe... into the frame, and have it executed when it arrives there ?
As the v3 function is expecting an event, I'm not sure what to pass it when it's just being run from entering a frame..
(Certainly onEnterFrame sounds right, but of course it means 'execute this every cycle of the framerate, ie 30, 60 times a second, whereas you only want it fired once when you reach the frame)
