Ohhh and btw, to all my german friends.....
Turkey manager Gus Hiddink has claimed that Ozil is playing for Germany on a passport obtained using fake paperwork.
Ozil is entitled to play for Germany as he is German born, his parents are from Turkey, but Hiddink claims that when Ozil decided not to play for Turkey but for Germany that the Germans were in such a rush to get him tied to them they did not go through proper proceedures and used false paperwork and so he using a fake passport. The incredible information coming from Turkey is that the German World Cup star,Mezut Ozil has a false German passport. That's according to statements credited to current Turkey coach,Guus Hiddink.
''The German Passport of Ozil is false. The document was falsified to allow Ozil play for Germany in the World Cup.He is not eligible to do so,'' said Hiddink, who was on the NFF wish-list to handle the Eagles in South Africa.
Ozil has been capped 14 times for Germany and made his debut against Norway,February 2009.He has impressed in the World Cup and has been linked to Barcelona,Arsenal,Liverpool and Man City after the World Cup.
Ozil has Turkish heritage but was born in Germany and has played for Germany's Under 17,19 and 21 sides.
- Germany always steals Turkish and Polish players. That's not fair.SoulFly
- Could he make up something like this? Could this be true?? I mean, if they just did it for the WC ok, maybe... butOSFA
- if he has played for u21, u19 and u17... I don;t think they're that stupid to let it roll for so longOSFA
- I believe this is just a poor translation, probably on purpose by a bitter english journalist; Hiddink mentioned that its a pity (for him) that Ozil decided for the 'wrong' passportd_gitale
- ...for Turkey that Ozil decided for the 'wrong' passport. Ozil is born in Germany and his father came to germany at the age of 2d_gitale

There's a lot of racism here, I alreday noticed it, but this football thread brings it all up.

Piece of advice for Maradona: Germany gets really good in the quarters.

Guus Hiddink is talking out of his fucking ass, and you should know better than to spread his stupid rumors. Özil held both a german and turkish passport since his birth, and applied to have his turkish citizenship removed at age 17. But apparently the turks really wanted him to play for their youth teams, so they've probably not followed through on that. Doesn't matter, he has dual citizenship, it's all legit.
- hey hey, don't blame me... I posted it here to discuss... see my side notes... It's all over the netOSFA
