Apple are getting ready to release Snow Leopard in September.
On the US website they say purchasing a mac after today (8th June) means you can get a discounted update when Snow Leopard is launched in September.

However the UK site makes no mention of it:

Do we in the UK still qualify? I'm about part with good money for mac book pro this weekend. Would be nice to get a discounted update, or a free upgrade...

Is not that difficult, you only have to read...
"This offer is good only in the United States (50 states and the District of Columbia) and Canada, and valid only in accordance with the terms set forth on this certificate."

I bought an iMac just when they released Leopard, mine came with Tiger, they had a page on their site where I ordered the Leopard DVD for 10 euros or so (don't remember).
So I guess they'll have something similar for this one, worldwide
