Has this happened where you send an email with an attached file but the person receiving it (on Windows) can't save the attachment?
This just started happening recently so Im wondering if I may have accidently activated some settings.
Any ideas?

did you click the "send windows friendly attachment" button?

send windows friendly, and also don't drag it into the message window, use the physical "attach file" button.

Haven't tried that, I've always just dragged the file into the message and didn't have problems before today.

Apple Mail sucks in the attachment department, it always puts attached files within the email body

in the preferences > composing > send plain text. otherwise it embeds image files in the email.
- rich text embeds - plain text doesn't

- rich text embeds - plain text doesn't

Yes, but I only send plain text if email originates from me, use the same format if replying. Other clients (thunderbird) don't embed attachments in rich text as far as I remember..

Where is windows friendly button?

In rich text, Mail embeds any type of jpeg, giff, png image. Clicking the 'Save windows friendly attachment' makes no difference.
