Hi there!
I want to improve my skills in Art Direction and Graphic Design abroad and I would like to know which are the best schools out there in the States, Brasil or Amsterdam.
I´ve already studied 5 years of a full Degree ( In Spain is like that) and I wouldn´t like to spend more than a year again in school, do you think that is possible? I already know a bit about the basis and how to use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign...
Any suggestions please?

IMO, Art Direction talent comes from experience.
As far as the graphic design bit....you've spent 5 years in school. It's time to get to work now. Don't waste your money on a design school.

Thanks noRGB I agree on the Art Direction one. I didn´t explain myself clearly I want to improve my skills in Graphic Design, all I know I´ve learnt it on my own, and now that I´m starting to freelance in that I feel I have a lack of technical stuff that would make things easier and faster for me.
I´ve started Advertising, Marketing and PR in a wrong School to me. That´s why I´m a bit confused right now.
Thanks anyway!

art center... ? pasadena, california.
but first question should be how's your portfolio looking? the "top schools" accept only the very best portfolios.
and budget? i always wanted to continue my studies at art center but it ain't cheap, specially for us foreigners.
- Thanks Horton! I´ll check that out. I hope my portfolio will be ready for it ;)natts

If you've got an undergrad degree you should go to grad school.
For graphic design that would be Yale, Cranbrook, SVA, Carnegie Mellon, RISD, and Cooper Union.
I always hear good things about Cranbrook and Yale's graduate programs. Cooper Union and Carnegie Mellon have huge endowmwnts if you want to try for free rides or scholarships.

my love » College for Creative Studies (CCS)
- I think in the end though its all about how much you push yourself regardless of the school. Taking up freelance, going beyond the expected with a focused conceptual thinking, is what makes a solid book in the end.

i am sorry but if you done 5 years and want more before going to actually work. then, maybe this isn't cut out for you.
why not get a internship (work for free) and gain some real experience, that would do you better.
- I´ve done that already. I´m just kind of interested in changing my career orientatio. but don´t want to spend years in school again cause I learnt a lot more working than in school. As I said before, just need to learn more tech stuffnatts
