Trying to make copies of a couple DVD's. Toast told me they were encrypted so I couldn't copy them via toast.
I've downloaded MacTheRipper and am "ripping" them to my desktop now. From there can I just drop the folder created by MTR into Toast or do is there a different program I need to do this with?
Thanks!

Pretty sure that should work.

i think that works now. i used to use an app in between mactheripper and toast called Handbrake but that was years ago.

its been a couple years on this thread. MTR isn't working and I'm trying to make some backup copies of DVD's I've purchased. Handbrake isn't doing its thing and I can't find anything that will strip this encoding off.
On mac - 10.6.7
Any other programs out there?

This is the new replacement for Handbrake in my opinion, rips from DVD to file:

And for straight ripping:

These two work great alone or together.
I haven't used this, but there's also:

dual layer dvdr recommendations? I'm seeing a ton of mixed reviews.
