Saw Up this past weekend and I can't believe "Partly Cloudy" (the short before the movie) hasn't been mentioned, It was fantastic!
Im a huge Pixar fan, Up wasn't their best but it was darn good.

I saw "UP" with my daughter last weekend,,,, My thoughts.
On the surface it was a cute little love story, but the characters were very weak and forgettable. The smart humor that is their trademark rarely pokes it's head into the flic. It's almost like Pixar had their "B" team work on this. The story line was even weaker, very unimaginative. It seems like they were struggling.
Now to the content. I am not one of those parents who cringe at serious situations in movies. But this story was grounded more in reality than their other works. And daydreams of dropping a kid hundreds of feet in the air left me saying "WTF"!!! And you could hear it from other's in the audience. And there were other moments on top of this that were the same.
When the other flics take place in imaginary settings ( talking fish, talking toys, a monster factory and a shy robot) the serious content gets lost and is brushed off. But when this story is primarily based on human beings, it makes it a little more real. Make sense?
- needless to say, it doesn't make my list.morilla
- I basically agree. Up just didnt seem like a pixar movie to me. It wasnt funny, it was boring and silly.CygnusZero4

i think what they are achieving is not appreciated enough. They have not made a bad movie yet, after how many years? Some are better than others, but the overall quality and box office is amazing. In 100 years they will be discussed with reverence, i am guessing.
for my money, this is my ranking (which, as my wife would say, is so totally dorky....but hey, that's why i hang out here at qbn, with all the other dorks...whoops! i mean designers)
1) Finding Nemo (emotionally moving, beautiful)
2) Toy Story 1 (story / action / animation is so great)
3) Incredibles (the look of it alone....)
4) Wall-E (just great)after that, they tend to be all very good in vary degrees i think
