I don't know what to do... I've been freelancing for some month, had some good clients, but was pretty low on the money side. I decided to get a full time position 7month ago, and I'm already pissed.
what would you do?
a salary every month, in a job you don't enjoy (with loads of work for a low salary)
or going back to freelance, without knowing if you will find money the next month?

Do both, thats what i do... though it can get quite tiring working all the time.

Yeah i though I would do both, but I leave the office quite too late, usually between 8and 9pm (with some peak at 11pm or 1am sometimes), I'm back home 1h30 after laeving the office and too tired to working on anything else.

I'd love to go freelance again, but I need to ensure a decent amount of money each month. my girlfriend is a dancer and we can't both risk to run out of money in the same time.
does any of you have any feedback working with agents?
- I ain't fuckin' you!!Dancer

hmmm.. you have a nice portfolio. Find a higher paying job.
Also do you work for a studio? Studios tend to work you more but have better work. Corporate pays better and better hours. not so good work.
That's not always the case and I'm sure a good designer like you can find good compensation in either field.
- I'm working on that, new updates portfolio in progress, hopefully ready in a few weeks.dyspl

Take the 'punk' style overlays off your logos. Spoils their integrity IMHO :)

Great portfolio. I love your style and the logos are great. I love logo design, but it happens so rarely. How do you get so many of those projects?
I would suggest that in your next site, you add previous/next buttons.
Leave them in the same position on every page so people don't have to look for the buttons and they can just click without looking.
Try to avoid scolling. In sites like this, people like to click without looking and not have to move the mouse. It gets repetitive and with all the clicking people start to get lazy.

CyBrain :
thanks!
I have loads of logos because I had to work many product events etc... while i was inhouse for a sport brand (I whish I could go back to such position!)
About the buttons, I tend to think the opposite :) i start to be very lazy once I clicked 3 or 4 times, I rather see all the work trough a scroll.
But i keep your advice in mind!

You have great work there.
Fix up your site as suggested above, then look fo another job.
Much easier to get a job when you have a job IMO.(and this job is just a stepping stone ... in a couple of years it will be a distant memory :)
