Any help will be greatly appreciated! moving totally blind and last minute! thanks!
Do i ship my cinema display? sell it and buy something new there? Anyone know of reliable (not insanely expensive) ways to ship from the US to the UK? If I bring my iphone can i just swap in an O2 card and sign up and go? What is the quickest way to get internet service once I am over there (in Edinburgh specifically)?

Shipping is expensive and timely.
No you can't use a US iphone unless you jailbreak it, in which case any carrier will work.
Internet requires a BT landline and then you sign up, plus.net offer monthly contract deals whereas most ISPs require 12 month contracts.

Can't the iPhone be unlocked by AT&T if leaving states? (even if you are still stuck with contract)... then you could get O2 payasyougo SIM
Mobile internet (USB stick) is another option, but around £12/mth with 12mth+ contract.. You can't really know what cable or ADSL choices you have until you have your street address.

thanks for the links and infos. i can't wait to start downing that dank scottish ale i hear so much about! Im actually arriving in August, I hear the festivals are in full swing then. Very exciting.
