what do you mean "don't trash what you don't know anything about"
that is what our field is, people critiquing and trashing our designs when they have no background or knowledge of the design field.
and i think designers can display a opinion if they think a tattoo artist is shit or charging to much... you don't have to have sleeves to know what looks good.
- Im telling you, more than half the people working at miami ink are world renowned tattoo artists.CygnusZero4
- You're hating on them because they're rich and well known which is ridiculously immature.CygnusZero4
- not really i was saying that from what i saw their work sucks... never said anything about tv or money.nicole_marie

the artists on Miami Ink are not very good. Garver is by far the best they have and I don't even think he is there outside of the taping schedule. $500 an hour for tattoo work is insanely expensive.... top artists don't generally go over $200 an hour. Kat Von D is good - but she is not the best portrait artist out there. Bob Tyrrell (bobtyrrell.com) is actually way better. I believe he did a guest spot on her show last year.
but Miami Ink artists - not impressed so much by their crap.

I've only watched the show a handful of times and nothing ever really impressed me. Seemed pretty "meh" actually. But who knows, maybe I'd have to watch more of them.
