Sounds interesting, it was previewed for the first time today. Looks to me like they're targeting Outlook....and maybe twitter/facebook at the same time.

Yeh, I think this is great, definately a new phase of apps and ways to get clients/customers/users interacting and collaborating..
Imagine for instanace, the CNN wave - all their latest reports, video, opinion, all being interacted with at once, in once place, literally forming a branching visual, accessible historical document, forever lurching forwards..
Knock it all together in some meaningful 3d interface, with different ways to navigate and interact with, literally - a graphical zeitgeist, and the trail of history it creates, and it becomes really exciting and useful..

Technically very impressive, but looks like a terrible interface for real world usage. I mean its basically taking an email and then chopping each paragraph into a separate conversation... imagine if you had to talk to a cuntish client on that thing and each point in an email had a tree debate shooting off it from about 12 different cunts.
Any UI that requires a playback function to make sense of its conversation is a fucking terrible UI.

Anyone used Talk back in the Unix terminal days? That's what Wave reminded me of when the guy said real time communications app.
Gmail reminds me of PINE with all it's keyboard shorcuts. It seems Google is bringing back mainframe programs with an internet GUI.

It looks like the Google/ Microsoft war is going to heat up soon.
