How do I exclude a page from being counted in the page numbering - example. pp1, pp2, (divider page), pp3, etc.
I don't want the divider page to be pp3 in my auto page number that I've set up in "Numbering and Sections Options".

I could be wrong, and maybe this is a hack solution, but I think you'll have to start a new section on the page you want the numbering to start on again.
so, using your example, select pp3, select "numbering and section options in the flyout menu, and click "start new section" and begin the pagination at 3.

Master pages, my friend, master pages.

you might have to apply a separate blank master page to the divider page and then set the numbering on the following (4th page..) to start at pp3.

Select page in "page" window, right click and select override master pages, then delete the text box with the "insert page number".
